Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump the whole of which can be miniaturized, the life of which can be extended while enabling the wear of a rotor upon being driven to be reduced, and the cost of which can be reduced.SOLUTION: The oil pump is comprised of: a pump body A comprised of a rotor chamber 11, a first suction port 14, a first discharge port 15, a first suction oil path 14a, a first discharge oil path 15a, a relief valve 2, a relief chamber 18 formed on the relief discharge side, of the relief valve 2, and a first return oil path 3 formed between the relief chamber 18 and the first suction oil path 14a; a pump cover B having a second return oil path 5; an outer rotor 91; and an inner rotor 92. The first return oil path 3 is formed in a recessed groove shape in an inner periphery supporting wall part 11a of the rotor chamber 11, and is opened along an outer peripheral face 91a on the side of the outer rotor 91. Near a site where the second return oil path 5 is formed, a supporting protruded part 6 is formed for supporting the radial-direction surface side face 91b of the outer rotor 91.
