Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the manufacture of an oil pump.
CONSTITUTION: Oil pump manufacture is simplified by providing a pump body with a planar unstepped face and achieving radial location by the provision of a bush 22 on a pump driven shaft 14. The bush is received in a counterbore 24 of a part jouralling a drive shaft 16, i.e., a cylinder block adjacent to the end of the drive shaft (crankshaft).
