This oil pumping device for a compressor incorporates an oil paddle 40 in an eccentric part 9a of a rotary shaft 9 so as to carry out pumping of oil reserved in the bottom part of the compressor by centrifugal force. Slots 47 are formed respectively in the upper and lower parts of the oil paddle 40 on one side thereof so as to prevent the oil to be pumped from being injected into the outside, being off from a predetermined position when the oil paddle 40 is eccentrically rotated, and to forcibly inject oil in the oil surface so as to restrain the amplitude of waves generated in the oil surface.
