Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide oil reservoir structure for an engine that can miniaturize the whole engine.
SOLUTION: In the engine, a side cover 8 partitioning a valve chamber 9a for accommodating a valve system 19 is jointed to one side of a crankcase 1 partitioning a crank chamber 4 for accommodating a crank part 5c of a crankshaft 5. In this constitution, a first oil reservoir chamber 28 surrounding the crank chamber 4 is formed in the crankcase 1, and a second oil reservoir chamber 29 surrounding the valve chamber 9a is formed between the crankcase 1 and the side cover 8. These first and second oil reservoir chambers 28, 29 communicate with each other.
