Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil ring material in which high quality and reduction in manufacturing cost by improving productivity can be achieved, and to provide a method for producing oil ring material.SOLUTION: The oil ring material has a crystal grain size of a grain size number according to ASTM standard of 10 to 13. Also, the elongation percentage is 45% or more. These make it possible to reduce the crystal grain size without causing precipitation of a compound which embrittles grain boundaries, so that an effect in which the lowering of strength accompanied with use at high temperature can be prevented, can be expected.
