Abstract:
To provide an oil seal which can obtain a proper fastening force under a low temperature even if a characteristic of a shape memory alloy extending with a proper length at a high temperature is imparted to a shape memory coil spring.SOLUTION: An oil seal comprises a fastening force adjustment mechanism 26 arranged between both end parts of a garter spring 25, and adjusting a fastening force of the garter spring 25, and the fastening force adjustment mechanism 26 comprises a shape memory coil spring 33 connected to one end part 27 and the other end part 28 of the garter spring 25, and a coil spring 34 connected to one end part 27 and the other end part 28 of the garter spring 25, and arranged in parallel with the shape memory coil spring 33. When the shape memory coil spring 33 is in a high temperature which is equal to or higher than a first set temperature, the shape memory coil spring extends by a characteristic of a shape memory, and when the coil spring 34 is in a low temperature which reaches a second set temperature lower than the first set temperature, the coil spring contracts the shape memory coil spring 33.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
