Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve PV value, wear resistance, vibration resistance, and sealing capability by a method wherein the rubber sliding seal surface of the oil seal is formed by imbedding a cloth consisting of fibers made of the material, the main composition of which is fluororesin. CONSTITUTION:The sliding seal surface S contacting with the outer periphery of a shaft 1 is formed on the inner peripheral surface of a seal lip 7, the main composition of which is synthetic rubber. In the vicinity of the external phase of the inner periphery of the seal lip 7, is imbedded the cloth 8 consisting of fibers made of the material, the main composition of which is fluororesin filled with the proper filler. Further, a spring 6 is put outside to heighten the intensity of the contact pressure of the sliding seal surface.
