Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an oil surface control device for a freezer in which the reliability in an oil surface control is improved without increasing the size of the device and the manufacturing cost.
CONSTITUTION: Compressors 2, 3, an oil separator 4, a condensor 5, expansion valves 7A, 7B and evaporators 8A, 8B are connected by a refrigerant pipe. An oil returning pipe 10 having solenoid valves 11, 12 is connected between the oil separator 4 and the compressors 2, 3. There are provided float switches 13 and 14 cooperating with an upward movement or a downward movement of the oil surface within the compressors 2 and 3, producing a valve opening signal in response to a descending of the oil surface and further producing a valve closing signal in response to an ascending of the oil surface. Solenoid valves 11 and 12 acting as the opening or closing valves are opened in response to the valve opening signal and the solenoid valves 11 and 12 are closed in response to the valve closing signal. The solenoid valves 11 and 12 are kept open for a predetermined period of time from the time when the valve closing signal is inputted.
