Abstract:
To provide an oil-water separation filter which has high filtration efficiency and short liquid flow time, and further, which does not deteriorate in performance even when dehydrated after freezing, dried and used, and a method for manufacture of the same.SOLUTION: An oil-water separation filter includes a non-woven cloth in which many pores, that penetrate between one face in which a liquid containing water and oil flows and the other face which faces one face and from which the liquid flows out, are formed between fibers. A water-repellent and oil-repellent film containing metal oxide particles (B), with which a first fluorine-based functional group component (A1) including perfluoroether structure represented by the following formula (1) is combined and which has an average particle diameter of 2nm to 90nm, and silica sol gel (C), which contains a second fluorine-based functional group component (A2) including the perfluoroether structure represented by the following formula (1), is formed on a fiber surface of the non-woven cloth. Content ratio of the total of the components (A1) and (A2) in the water-repellent and oil-repellent film is 0.5 to 15% by mass, mass ratio (C:B) is 10:90 to 90:10, and filter permeability is 0.05 to 14 ml/cm2/sec.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
