Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the wear resistance of a sliding part which contains a resin as a base.
CONSTITUTION: A compound which contains 10 to 50wt.% superfine fibers is produced by mixing a base resin which contains an engineering plastic, such as PPS, nylon or PEEK, excellent in chemical resistance and a superfine fiber 1 of a metal, such as copper, nickel, stainless steel or soft-iron, having a diameter of 5 to 20μm and a length of 5 to 6mm or more. The compound is molded by molding means and, after dipping the sliding part 2 obtained in a metal solution 3 of a strong acid, the sliding part 2 is neutralized with an alkali solution. The sliding part is oiled by dipped in a silicone oil.
