Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an oiling agent composition for carbon fiber precursors, capable of preventing troubles such as fiber fusion, fuzz generation and fiber breakage between single fibers in a flame-resisting process or a carbonation process.
CONSTITUTION: The condensation product of a dibasic acid such as adipic acid or sebacic acid with a polyol such as a hardened caster oil ether having oxyalkylene units such as ethylene oxide units is reacted with a fatty acid alkanolamide such as oleic acid diethanolamide to produce an amide group- terminated compound. An amide compound obtained by reacting a polyamine such as diethylenetriamine with a fatty acid such as stearic acid is subjected to the addition reaction of ethylene oxide, and subsequently mixed with the amide group-terminated compound to obtain the oiling agent composition for carbon fiber precursors.
