Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a graft copolymer retaining excellent heat resistance, chemical resistance and electric characteristics and simultaneously improved in toughness, tensile strength, tensile elongation, tensile modulus and compatibility.
CONSTITUTION: The objective olefin-based copolymer is obtained by subjecting an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer having a double bond at the side chain to graft copolymerization with a styrene based monomer. This copolymer has styrene chain of higher syndiotactic structure, whose content is 0.1-90wt.% and 0.05-25dl/g reduced viscosity (0.05g/dl in TCB at 135°C), 0.001-500g/10min. melt index measured at 300°C under 2.16kg load and is excellent in mechanical characteristics such as tensile strength and elongation.
