Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an olefinic copolymer which is excellent in elastic recovery and low-temperature properties and can be improved in high-temperature properties, adhesiveness, etc., by grafting and a process for efficiently producing this copolymer.
CONSTITUTION: The title copolymer comprises 80-99.9mol% α-olefin units, 20-0.1mol% cyclodiene units and 0-19.9mol% cycloolefin units and has a glass transition temperature of 30°C or below. The title process comprises copolymerizing the monomers in the presence of a catalyst mainly consisting of a transition metal compound (A), a compound (B) which can form an ionic complex by reaction with the transition metal compound or mainly consisting of component A, component B and an organoaluminum compound (C).
