PURPOSE: To obtain a metal/cyclic olefinic resin laminate having electromagnetic characteristics near to those of a metal and excellent in moistureproofness, gas barrier properties, light blocking properties, transparencey, twist resistance or tear strength by laminating a layer composed of a cyclic olefinic resin selected from a specific group and a metal or metal oxide layer.

CONSTITUTION: A metal/cyclic olefinic resin laminate consists of a layer composed of a cyclic olefinic resin selected from a cyclic olefinic random copolymer with softening temp. of 70°C or higher being a copolymer of ethylene and cyclic olefin represented by formula I (wherein n and q are 0 or 1, m is 0 or a positive integer and R1-R18 are respectively independently hydrogen, a halogen atom or a hydrocarbon group) or formula II (wherein p and q are 0 or an integer of 1 or more, m and n are 0, 1 or 2 and R1-R19 are respectively independently hydrogen, a halogen atom, an aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic hydrocarbon group or an alkoxy group), a cyclic olefin ring opening (co)polymer with softening temp. of 70°C or higher being a ring opening (co)polymer of cyclic olefin represented by formula I or II and a hydrogenated cyclic olefin ring opening polymer with softening temp. of 70°C or higher being a hydrogenerated ring opening (co)polymer and a metal or metal oxide layer.
