PURPOSE: To obtain the subject film excellent in mechanical strength, moderate elongation, resistance to breakage, transparency, freedom from wrinkles when wrapped, elastic recovery, etc., having a resin layer consisting mainly of a copolymer of ethylene and a (meth)acrylic ester and crosslinked by radiation.
CONSTITUTION: A laminate made up of a core layer as a resin layer consisting of a resin containing ≥30wt.% (pref. 70-100)wt.% of a copolymer obtained from ethylene and a monomer of the formula CH2=C(R1)-COOR2 (R1 is H or methyl; R2 is H or a 1-10C alkyl) (pref. an alkali methacrylate) and two layers, sandwiched with a layer consisting mainly of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (pref. containing 10-20wt.% of vinyl acetate) and/or an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer, is hot-drawn uniaxially or biaxially and then subjected to radiation crosslinking (pref. by X-rays, β-rays, γ-rays, neutron flux, or accelerated electron beams), thus obtaining the objective film.
