Abstract:
PURPOSE: To efficiently obtain a modified polymer excellent in adhesiveness, printability, hydrophilicity, modification of polymer, antistatic properties and flame retardancy by copolymerizing an a-olefin with a nonconjugated diene in the presence of a catalyst composed mainly of a specified compound.
CONSTITUTION: This olefinically unsaturated copolymer obtained by copolymerizing at least one 2-12C α-olefin with at least one nonconjugated diene of the formula, contains 10-6 to 20mol of the units derived from the nonconjugated diene, and has a reduced viscosity of 0.01-30dl/g at 135°C at a concentration of 0.05g/dl in decalin. In the formula, R1 to R7 may be the same or different and are each H or 1-8C alkyl; R8 is 1-8C alkyl; and Q is a 1-20C divalent organic group.
