Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide oligomers comprising a low mol.wt. watersoluble rigid backbone having a linear shape such that regular spacing between specific anionic groups exists in an aq. medium and useful as a medicine excellent in anti-human immune deficiency virus activity.
CONSTITUTION: The objective oligomers are polyureas, polycarbonates, polyesters or polyamides having repreating units coupled by carbonyl linking moieties which have anionic groups and comprise a watersoluble backbone having a number average mol.wt. of <10,000 and mainly showing a linear shape such that regular spacing between anionic groups exists in an aq. medium.
