Abstract:
To attain sure braking by providing a brake means for bringing a brake shoe into contact with the outer surface of a ball wheel.
A driving means includes a ball wheel 11 supported to freely roll, a ring 30 disposed in the outer periphery of the ball wheel 11 and rotatively driven round an axis by a driving source, and plural rollers 31 supported on the ring 30 to come into contact with a great circle of the ball wheel 11, and the rotation of the ring 30 is transmitted through the rollers 31 to the ball wheel 11. In this case, a brake means for bringing a brake shoe 71 into contact with the outer surface of the ball wheel 11 is provided to apply braking directly to the ball wheel 11.
