Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polymorphic forms of onapristone and methods of making and using such polymorphic forms.SOLUTION: Crystalline polymorphic forms can be characterized by their X-ray powder diffraction patterns and other properties. Methods of making polymorphic forms of onapristone comprise combining onapristone with a solvent selected from the group consisting of water, methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, acetone, butanone, 2-, ethyl acetate, dioxane, 1,4-, tert-butyl methyl ether, tetrahydrofuran, acetonitrile, chloroform, cyclohexane, n-heptane, toluene, xylene, p-, cumene, anisole, ethyl formate, and butyl acetate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
