Abstract:

To provide an onboard control system that can inhibit increased electrical power consumption by appropriately starting a plurality of instruments mounted to a vehicle, in accordance with a switching status of switches provided to the vehicle.

A plurality of instruments mounted to a vehicle 1, such as input loads 5 and output loads 6, are divided into a +B load group, an ACC load group, or an IG load group, each group is connected to a separate slave control device 4, a master control device 3 obtains a switching status of an IG switch and an ACC switch, and individually starts the slave control devices 4 in accordance with the switching status of each. The master control device 3 and the slave control devices 4 are connected via a shared communication line 7. When the master control device 3 outputs to the communication line 7 a start signal having a signal width in accordance with the switching status, and the slave control devices 4 determine that the signal width of the start signal is a signal width which has been respectively assigned thereto, starting is implemented.
