Abstract:
An on-vehicle device (30) for toll payment is provided with a communication unit (31) for communicating with roadside units for toll payment provided on the roadside when the vehicle travels on a toll road. The on-vehicle device (30) includes a terminal communication unit (32) that communicates with a portable communication terminal at a frequency band different from the frequency band to communicate with the roadside unit, and a tollgate area determining unit (35) that determines whether the vehicle has entered a tollgate area where the vehicle communicates with the roadside unit. When the tollgate area determining unit determines that the vehicle has entered the tollgate area, the terminal communication unit (32) transmits a request signal to the portable communication terminal, the signal conveying a request for an interference avoidance measure.
