Abstract:
To provide an onboard device capable of properly coping with odor in a compartment of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An onboard device 1 includes an odor sensor 31, an odor type discrimination unit 32, and an action determination unit 60. The odor sensor 31 is installed in a vehicle V and detects odor in a compartment of the vehicle V. The odor type discrimination unit 32 discriminates a type of odor detected by the odor sensor 31. The action determination unit 60 determines an action of the vehicle V on the basis of the type of odor discriminated by the odor type discrimination unit 32. Based on the type of odor, for example, the action determination unit 60 determines either a first action which drives a power window P of the self vehicle V so as to deodorize the compartment, or a second action which drives a traveling system actuator Q, which causes the self vehicle V to travel, so as to cause the self vehicle V to head for an external cleaning center N.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
