Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from entering a living road in a residential area, a shopping district, a school zone or the like in order to prevent a traffic jam by referring to a detailed street display on an onboard navigation apparatus.
SOLUTION: An area around the residential area, a school or the like is set in map data. When a detailed street is contained inside the area, the detailed street is displayed and controlled so as not to be displayed by a road-display setting and processing part 8c. Consequently, when the user refers to the detailed street display, it is possible to prevent the user from entering the living road unnecessarily.
