Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiency carry out a hydrogenation treatment by filtering a scrubber bottom, capturing a solid loading part and solid filtrate as a product stream and recirculating the filtered solid to a coking zone.

CONSTITUTION: Heavy duty hydrocarbon oil is decomposed to the gaseous product contg. hydrocarbon which is liquid in an ordinary contition and coke in a coking zone maintained under fluidized coking conditions in a fluidized layer of solid particles. The high-temp. gaseous product is moved from the coking zone to a scrubbing zone. The solid-contg. bottom fraction (part thereof) produced from this scrubbing zone is sent to a filter device having as uniform pore diameter capable of maintaining an effective flux which can hold ≥95% of the solid. The generated filtrate substantially not contg. the solid is captured as the product stream and the filtered solid is recirculated to the coking zone.
