To provide one piece lock ring which has little plastic deformation in increasing its width, maintains a spring effect and improves the reliability and durability of the lock ring, and to provide a mounting or removing method for the same and a wheel.
The one piece lock ring 4 is used for a wheel 200 of a multi-piece rim, made of a heat-treated iron material having an elastic limit of 260 to 400 N/mm2 and having one radial slit 4s in the circumferential direction. The wheel of the multi-piece rim includes a rim base 1 having a gutter band part 11 in at least one of end parts, side rings 2 arranged at both end parts of the rim base and a bead sheet band 3 for supporting the side rings from outer sides of the rim base in the axial direction on the gutter band part. The lock ring is fitted to a groove 11a formed in the gutter band part so as to support the bead sheet band from the outer side of the rim base in the axial direction.
