Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-piece type plastic cap which can make a tight seal and in which a bridge break can be surely effected so that it can be ensured that contents are closely sealed.
SOLUTION: In the cap, an inner ring 5 has an axial dimension perpendicular to the top surface of the cap large enough to make a surface seal with the inner surface of a bottle mouth. The outer periphery 22 of the ring 5 extending radially outwardly and axially from a joint portion 20 or a rise portion 21 thereof is tapered at an angle of 10° to 60°, and the forward end of the ring 5 has a pointed end 24 smaller than the inner diameter of the bottle mouth and has a guide surface 23 for the bottle mouth, which is tapered inwardly toward the end 24, and the joint portion 20 has an outer diameter nearly equal to the inner diameter of the bottle mouth under conditions that the portion 20 is not larger than the inner diameter of the bottle mouth.
