Abstract:
PURPOSE: To excellently weld an initial layer without the slippage of a backing tape through a tube face by drawing-out the backing tape from a housing reel by the rotation of a backing device, pressing and backing the backing tape onto the tube face between the housing reel and a winding reel.
CONSTITUTION: The backing tape (a) drawn-out from a housing reel 4 is wound around a winding reel 5 via a backing pad 10 and the guide rolls 12, 13 on the front and rear side of the pad 10. Further, the backing pad 10 presses and backs up the backing tape (a) onto the external face of tube with an energizing means of a holding device 11 and a spring, etc. Since the backing tape (a) supplied from the housing reel 4 is guided by the guide rollers 12, 13 on the front side of the backing pad 10, the tape (a) is introduced smoothly without being in contact with a corner, etc., of the backing pad 10.
