To obtain a pile woven fabric having a tubular weave tissue, capable of preventing that pile yarns are easily dropped off or that the raised yarns are easily fallen, when the pile fibers are filaments, and capable of realizing new commodity woven fabrics such as a woven fabric in which long and short piles appear, a woven fabric in which pile yarns form ridges and frizz, or a woven fabric in which raised yarns and looped piles appear on the front surface and the back surface, respectively.
A pile woven fabric having a tubular tissue is woven so that the upper and lower fabrics of a double tissue comprising ground warps and ground wefts comprise totally four fabrics comprising two main fabrics and two cover fabrics. Therein, pile fibers, the ground fibers of the main fabrics, selvages warps, the ground fibers of the cover fabrics, selvage-fixing fibers, etc., are warped. Four ground wefts are used for each mountain. Pile fibers P1, P2 are spanned for each mountain in the cover fabric, and pile fibers P3, P4 are spanned for each mountain in the main fabric. The pile fibers P1, P2 are vertically and alternately spanned through the positions 2, 4, 6, 8 of the main fabric, and the pile fibers P3, P4 are spanned for each mountain in the positions 1, 3, 5, 7 of the main fabric. The pile yarns P1, P2 and the pile yarns P3, P4 are superposed on each other.
