To obtain the subject pile fabric provided with much space by the aid of ground fabric and cover fabric and improved in functionality by making use of the space so as to be imparted with added value through post procession such as electric wiring.

This pile fabric is obtained by the following process: pile yarns P1, P2, P3, P4 are respectively alternately shifted to upper and lower fabrics and vertically bridged on a ground fabric at least in two peaks into respectable sets, which are then superposed and repeated in 12 ground weft divisions; fixing yarns are tied via the upper and lower ground wefts 2 of a cover fabric, and the pile yarns are restrained with upper and lower rulers so as not to deviate for adjusting pile length, and woven by using a feeder. in the case of the double-sided pile fabric, the pile yarns P1, P2 re bridged to the ground fabric in at least two peaks, and the pile yarns P3, P4 are bridged to the cover fabric in at least three peaks, and the resulting sets are superposed and repeated in 60 ground weft divisions; the fixing yarns are tied via the ground wefts 4 of the cover fabric; and a weaving operation is performed with 12 wefts for pulling out by the use of rulers and the feeder so as to afford such space in the objecting pile fabric.
