To provide a one-way clutch capable of improving engaging performance and a pulley apparatus incorporating such a one-way clutch.
A spring 19 of the one-way clutch comprises a leaf spring, and has bent parts 26 and contact parts 28 at both sides of a base part 25 being an intermediate part and in contact with a roller. The spring 19 presses the roller in a locking direction by each of the contact parts 28. The base part 25 includes a pair of locking parts 30 at its both ends, and a grease scraping part 31 projecting between the locking parts 30 and protruding radially outward than the locking parts 30 for scraping grease adhered on the inner peripheral face of an outer ring in an overrun state in which an inner ring and the outer ring relatively rotate. The amount of grease accumulated between the roller and a back face of the spring 19 is reduced, resistance preventing movement of the roller during locking is reduced, and engaging performance of the clutch is improved.
