The one-way clutch includes an outer ring 1 and an inner ring 2, a plurality of the sprags 3 arranged between the outer ring 1 and the inner ring 2 in a peripheral direction, a retainer 4 for retaining the sprags 3 in the peripheral direction, and an elastic member 6 for energizing the sprags 3, and raceway grooves 1b and 2b in the peripheral direction are respectively provided in the axial middle of an inner peripheral surface 1a of the outer ring 1 and an outer peripheral surface 2a of the inner ring 2 to which the sprag 3 is fitted, and a steel ball 12 enters therein so as to be rolled. A roller 21 for increasing a function supporting the radial load acting on the outer ring 1 and the inner ring 2 is arranged between the inner peripheral surface 1a of the outer ring 1 and the outer peripheral surface 2a of the inner ring 2. Thus, the radial load between the outer ring 1 and the inner ring 2 can be supported by the roller 21, and the compact and the inexpensive structure can be achieved. Further, the sprag 3 can be accurately operated.
