Abstract:
To stabilize clutch function and miniaturize an axial width in a one way clutch.
In this one way clutch A by which two inner and outer ring bodies 1, 2 arranged cocentrically with each other are changed over to a lock condition to synchronously rotate and a free condition to relatively rotate, a ball 4 is used as a wedge member instead of the conventional roller, and this ball 4 is rolled and guided straight in a circumferential direction along a rolling guiding groove 2a arranged in the outer side ring body 2. Hereby, the axial width of the one way clutch A can be shortened to a large extent in comparison with the conventional case, and also the incidence of a skew phenomenon as the conventional case can avoid.
