To provide a one-way clutch of roller type in which reliability is enhanced by tightening a side plate and an outer race in the clutch by means of rivets.
This one-way clutch of roler type has the outer race 1, an inner race 2, a roller 3 adapted to transmit torque between the outer race 1 and the inner race 2, a cage having a window for holding the roller 3, a spring disposed in a pocket and adapted to bias the roller 3 toward an engagement direction with respect to a cam surface, and a side plate 7 provided at its inner diameter portion with spline grooves 9, into which a crankshaft 25 of an engine is fitted, wherein the side plate 7 is secured to the outer race 1 by inserting rivets 14 into through-holes 8 provided in the outer race and through-holes 29 provided in the side plate 7 and by caulking the rivets.
