To increase degree of freedom in establishing a position of a center of gravity in relation to a one way clutch changing over transmission and shut-off of power on a power transmission route.
This invention relates to a method for adjusting the position of the center of gravity of the sprag 2 used for the one way clutch provided with an inner ring 5 including an outer circumference cylinder surface, an outer ring 1 including an inner circumference cylinder, a plurality of sprags 2 including a plurality of cam surfaces 11, 12 arranged between the both cylinder surfaces and corresponding to the outer circumference cylinder and the inner circumference cylinder. A through hole 13 connecting the axial direction both end surfaces 2a, 2b is bored in the sprag 2 and a filler 14 formed out of material having specific gravity different from the material constructing the sprag 2 in the through hole 13. Consequently, the position of the center of gravity G of the sprag 2 in a section perpendicular to an axial center is moved. Since the position of the center of gravity of the sprag 2 is moved by weight change by the through hole 13 and the filler 14, a shape of a cam surface required for the sprag 2 or a space between the inner and the outer ring 5, 1 or the like are not restricted and the position of the center of gravity can be freely established.
