Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability by reducing edge loads generated at an axial end of a roller a one-way clutch.SOLUTION: An outer member 22 of a one-way clutch 21 includes an annular rib 22c formed around its outer peripheral surface, and the rigidity of the outer member 22 can be thereby improved and the outer member can be prevented from deforming when the roller 25 engages with an inner peripheral surface 22a of the outer member 22 to transfer a driving force. When the roller 25 engages with the inner peripheral surface 22a of the outer member 22, a strong edge load acts on an end of the roller 25 and the durability is affected. However, the annular rib 22c is formed in a position where it does not overlap the end of the roller 25 in the axial direction. As a result, the rigidity of the inner peripheral surface 22a of the outer member 22 making contact with the end of the roller 25 is partially reduced, the edge load is thereby relaxed, so that the durability of the roller 25 can be improved.
