To provide a one-way clutch which can have high wear resistance in idling and a stable high friction force in engagement, such that the wear resistance of contact surfaces is sufficient in idling of the one-way clutch, and also the clutch can engage with a large friction force as much as possible in engagement.
The grease lubrication one-way clutch 10 is composed of an outer ring 11 press-fitted into the inside diameter surface of a pulley 1, an inner ring 12 assembled inside the outer ring 11, engaging elements 13 assembled between both rings 11, 12, a retainer 14 for retaining the engaging elements 13, and elastic members 15 for energizing the engaging elements 13 in the engaging direction, wherein the friction engaging surfaces of the engaging elements 13 are lubricated with the grease containing 0.1 to 20 wt.% of molybdenum amine complex. Under an extreme-pressure condition, the molybdenum amine complex reacts in sliding surfaces, and molybdenum oxide is produced on the sliding surfaces, and a wear suppressing effect is displayed.
