Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more increase the safety of a onetime password.SOLUTION: A onetime password device includes: key management means for storing a key as a value unique to the device; generation key setting means for setting a generation key as a value different from the key; seed generation means for generating a seed as a sequence for generating the onetime password on the basis of the key and the generation key; time generation means for generating time information; and onetime password generation means for generating the onetime password by using the time information and the seed. The generation key setting means updates the generation key to a different value in accordance with at least either after the elapse of a first period or an external instruction, and the onetime password generation means generates the onetime password by using the seed generated on the basis of the updated generation key.
