Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new pile fabric rich in a three-dimensional feeling and improved in designability.
SOLUTION: This opal finished pile fabric comprises a ground part composed of acid-resistant synthetic fibers such as a polyester and a pile part composed of cellulosic fibers such as cotton or rayon. A printed pattern by pigment printing is applied to the pile fabric and the pile height of at least a part of piles provided with the printed pattern is lower than that of other parts by the opal finishing.
