To provide a plate-opening structure of a filter press capable of continuing to favorably push an adjacent filter plate while transferring an objective filter plate.
An opening and closing device 13 for transferring filter plates 12 is provided with a holding device body 56 and a holding claw 57 constituting a holding mechanism, and a pressing device body 58 and a pressing body 59 constituting a pressing mechanism. The pressing device body 58 is attached on the holding claw 57. When transferring the filter plates 12 with the opening and closing device 13, while a supporting arm 45 of the objective filter plate 12A is grabbed by the holding claw 57, the pressing body 59 presses a supporting arm 45 of the adjacent filter plate 12B by extending a pressing pestle 58a from the pressing device body 58, and further the pressing body 59 continues to press the supporting arm 45 of the adjacent filter plate 12B by continuing to extend the pressing pestle 58a until the objective filter plate 12A departs from the adjacent filter plate 12B.
