PURPOSE: To ensure a demonstration effect of articles in which a predetermined amount of heat radiation by a condenser is secured in an open show case including a freezing device therein while the height of a handrail is reduced and the width of a front surface opening is increased.

CONSTITUTION: In a freezing/cooling open show case wherein the inside of a show case body 1 including an article delivery opening part 2 in the front surface thereof is divided into an article cabinet 3 and as cold circulation passage 18 with a duct plate 17, and a condenser 5 constituting part of a freezing device is disposed in a machine chamber 20 located downward of the show case body 1, and further a heat discharge duct 21 is formed on the back surface of time show case body 1, the capacity of the condenser 5 disposed on the lower portion of the showy case body 1 is reduced to form a condenser with its reduced height, and an auxiliary condenser 6 is disposed in the heat discharge duct 21.
