To provide an open showcase which has a support structure of a shelf bracket capable of sufficiently supporting the load of a folding shelf provided at a front panel and which has improved operability of the folding shelf.

The open showcase includes the folding shelf which can be turned to a nearly pendant position and a nearly horizontal position, at the front lower portion of a merchandise storage chamber having an opened open front surface. On the rear surface side of the folding shelf, a pair of right and left shelf brackets are provided through hinges. When the folding shelf is turned and held at the nearly horizontal position, the shelf bracket comes into a pendant state to be positioned so as to abut on the rear surface side of the folding shelf and the front lower part of the merchandise storage chamber, at the pendant position. When the folding shelf is turned and held at the nearly pendant position, the shelf bracket is turned inward to be nearly parallel with the folding shelf and to be positioned on the rear surface side of the folding shelf.
