Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open type drum capable of achieving weight reduction and material cost reduction while improving the pressure resistant strength of a body curl and sealability of a top lid.SOLUTION: An open type drum comprises a body 2 having a body curl at an upper end edge, a bottom plate, and a top lid 8 openably/closably fitted to an upper end opening of the body 2 through a fastening band. A top lid body 20 of the top lid 8 has a top lid curl 16 engaged with the body curl through a gasket 18. The body curl has an upper arcuate portion 14a and a lower arcuate portion 14b. The fastening band has a band body 28 including an upper flange portion 28a, a lower flange portion 28b, and a bent portion 28c. The body curl has an overlapping portion 38 where the lower arcuate portion 14b and the upper arcuate portion 14a abut on each other when viewed in a cross section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
