PURPOSE: To prevent the disorder of opening and closing operations as well as suppress the occurrence of contact noise during running by a method in which a pair of torsion bars for pushing a trunk lid toward the opening direction are horizontally set in the widthwise direction of vehicle.

CONSTITUTION: The first hinge bracket 11 and the second hinge bracket 12 are provided, each of which is provided with fixing side supports 11b and 12b and turning side supports 11c and 12c. The first torsion bar 13 and the second torsion bar 14 are provided, in which rectangular fixing parts 13a and 14a and nearly U-shaped turning parts 13d and 14d are formed on both ends of the bars 13 and 14. Brackets 11 and 12 are fixed to both ends of vehicle, the bars 13 and 14 are attached, and the parts 13d and 14d are likewise connected with the trunk lid. Since the torsion bars do not cross each other, the occurrence of contact noise and the removal of the opening and closing link can be prevented.
