To provide an opening and closing door of a surrounding body for a melting furnace, capable of closing a ceiling door securely without consuming large electric power or requiring a large space.

This melting furnace surrounding body 5 having opening parts 2 for charging a raw material into the melting furnace 1 in a ceiling wall part 3 and a front part wall part 4 and incorporating an suction port 16 for collecting dust in its inside has an outer door 9 covering the opening parts 2 in the ceiling wall part and the front part wall part 4 of the melting furnace surrounding body 5 from an outer side and a ceiling part inner door 10 covering the opening part 2 in the ceiling wall part from an inner side. The ceiling part inner door 10 is fixed to the outer door 9, and the outer door 9 and the ceiling part inner door 10 move laterally and simultaneously to open and close them. A lower face of the ceiling part inner door 10 is an inclined face 15 on which a part close to the suction port 16 is higher than a part being remote from the suction port 16.
