To separate a movable holding member 8 of a container carrier 2 from a fixed holding member 6 and to maintain its state.

The fixed holding member is provided on one side of a base 4, and the movable holding member 8 is arranged on the other side of the base 4 and is energized in a fixed holding member direction with a spring 10. Rotary stoppers 18 constituted of a pair of star wheels 18A and 18B are arranged on both sides of a conveying conveyor 14 to push continuously conveyed container carriers in a conveying direction. Separation means 20 having oscillating levers 20Ac and 20Bc which are not engaged to the front fixed holding member and are engaged to the movable holding member 8 are provided in the vicinities of positions provided with the rotary stoppers 18. The oscillating levers 20Ac and 20Bf are kept drawn to a rear side with springs 20Af and 20Bf. When the container carriers are pushed from the rear side by the rotary stoppers 18, the movable holding member 8 engaged with the oscillating levers 20Ac and 20Bc is drawn to the rear side and is opened. An engaging member 30 engaged to the movable holding member 8 in the opened state is provided to maintain the opened state.
