Abstract:

To prevent a back door from being opened when the back door is deformed.

The intermediate part of a connection rod 4 disposed inside the back door of an automobile is bent in a roughly crank shape, the bent part 5 of the connection rod is disposed at a position slightly higher than the shoulder part 11a of the actuator 10 of a latch assembly 3 and slightly apart (offset) from the tip face 11b of a projected part 11c an outer panel 12 in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle body. When the back door is deformed and the connection rod 4 is moved to the actuator 10, the bend part 5 rides on the shoulder part 11a and the downward movement of the connection rod 4 is restricted.
