PURPOSE: To eliminate influence of error signal due to an afterward occurring circuitry shortcircuiting etc. by making only one judgement substantially if it is normal starting or erroneous from the signal given by an acceleration sensor upon judgement that a starter device is put into operation, and storing the result in a memory.
CONSTITUTION: A car collision etc. is sensed by an acceleration sensor, a starter device is actuated thereby, and this condition is sensed by a signal sensing means. No.1 judging means judges if the starter device is operating on the basis of the sensing signal given from this signal sensing means. In case the starter device is in operation, No.2 judging means makes only one judgement substantially if the start is normal or erroneous from the signal given by the acceleration sensor, and the result from judgement is stored in a memory. Accordingly any afterward generated erroneous signal will never be stored once the starter device is put in operation whether the operation is normal or erroneous, so that influence of erroneous signal due to shortcircuiting etc. in the circuit can be eliminated.
