The operating condition setting method includes: a candidate point extraction step for extracting a plurality of interference candidate points A1-AN and B1-BN having possibility of interfering with the carrying device in the surface of the upper die based on the shape data of an upper die; an upper die interference curve generation step (step S62) for generating an upper die interference curve passing through the candidate point to each of the plural interference candidate points under a temporarily set operating condition; and an operating condition determination step (step S63-S66) for correcting the temporarily set operating condition to generate the upper die interference curve so that a gap is formed between the upper die interference curve and the corresponding interference candidate point relative to the upper die interference curve interfering with the upper die only at the interference candidate points among the plurality of the upper die interference curves.
