PURPOSE: To contrive possibility of operating in it the condition respectively suitable for cooling status and for thermal insulating status in such a way that capcity fluctuation of a compressor is controlled by means of making the refrigerant pressure on the suction side of the compressor as its detecting singnals in response to the opening degree of an expansion valve which has been automatically adjusted in response to its cooling load.
CONSTITUTION: When load in a refrigerating circuit dwindles, an expansion valve in the refrigerating circuit is throttled, and pressure in refrigerant gas to be inhaled goes down below the constant value, then a direction change-over valve 53 is changed over to the condition as shown in the figure, and discharge refrigerant gas is fed into a pressure chamber 52. In result, a spool 46 is pushed up, and a closing valve 47 is opened, so that refrigerant gas which has been discharged from a cylinder bore 1a into a discharge chamber 38 is recirculated through a bypass 45 into a suction chamber 36, three air cylinders on the side of the cylinder bore 1a is made inoperative, and pressure in the discharge chamber 38 is abated. Thus, capacity fluctuation in the compressor can be controlled, and be operated in the condition respective suitable for cooling status and for thermal insulating status.
