Abstract:
To prevent an erroneous operation by a passenger in an operating device of an electric vehicle and to improve operability of the operating device.SOLUTION: An operating device of the present invention enables an electric vehicle to be operated, the electric vehicle having: left and right driving wheels; and left and right driving motors respectively independently driving these left and right driving wheels. The operating device also has: a joystick operable to move so as to perform a turning direction instruction of the electric vehicle; and traveling instruction means for performing a traveling instruction of the electric vehicle by an operation different from movement operation of this joystick. The joystick has a grip operable to be gripped by an occupant of the electric vehicle. By making difference between rotating speeds of the left and right driving motors on the basis of a combination of the turning direction instruction of the joystick and the traveling instruction of the traveling instruction means, a gentle turn or a pivotal turn of the electric vehicle is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
